Maserati unveils the external forms of the Levant, the first SUV in the hundred year history of Maserati: the new model completes the existing range of sedans and sport, enriching the offer with the Quattroporte, Ghibli, GranTurismo and GranCabrio.
The Levante design is instantly recognizable to the Maserati brand, and its absolute Italian style: the aggressive front, introduces sharp projectors decomposed into two elements, with the upper light clusters connected to the grille. On the side are clearly visible the stylistic elements of the Trident: the three iconic air vents on the front fender, the trapezoidal C pillar with a thunderbolt logo and expanses of glass per day. At the rear stands the steeply raked rear window and tapered shape, typical elements of a sports car and high performance.
Technically the Levante chassis has been designed to match: high road performance typical of all Maseratis, unparalleled driving dynamics even in conditions of very low grip and an optimal level of performance and comfort in off the street. One of the new Maserati SUV strength absolute point concerns the standard content of which all versions feature: sophisticated electronic suspension damping-controlled air springs adjustable tiered, intelligent all-wheel drive system "Q4" and 8-speed automatic transmission with specific calibrations developed for the new Maserati SUV.
At the level of engines, Levante is equipped with petrol and diesel engines, all in line with the Euro6 legislation. Maserati Levante is produced at the Mirafiori plant in Turin, where the first cars off the assembly line; marketing, in Europe, is expected to start next spring and to follow in the rest of the world.
