The first photos of a 2022 BMW 3 Series facelift spyshot and a potential leak announce an update for the Bavarian middle class – possibly in 2022. These are the car changes to be expected in the interior, the (hybrid) engines, and the price of the G20 sedan.
The BMW 3 Series Facelift may still come in 2022. At least the first photos of an spyshot suggest that. The camouflage only covers parts of the interior, the body appears unchanged. But that doesn’t have to mean that BMW isn’t lending a hand here. Photos of a possible pre-production model posted on Instagram (see below) could provide information on where elements of the exterior are changing.
So we see straighter headlights with a new light signature that is no longer notched by a piece of bodywork. Under the expanded double kidney grille there is a wider, black bar around the lower radiator grille. The air inlets in front of the wheel arches are also given a new shape. On the last spotted spyshot, the uncovered areas in the interior show no differences to the current version. It remains with the well-known rotary push button in the center console and the multifunction steering wheel. Behind the steering wheel follows a gray camouflage fleece with a very distinctive shape: the smooth edge seems to extend to the center of the dashboard.
This could be an indication that the BMW 3 Series Facelift (2022) will receive the wide panel with a double monitor including the latest generation of the iDrive infotainment system. This could go hand in hand with the rationalization of physical controls in the center console. that the BMW 3 Series Facelift (2022) receives the wide panel with a double monitor This could be an indication that the BMW 3 Series (2022) will receive the wide panel with a double monitor including the latest generation of the iDrive infotainment system. It is still unclear which engines will drive the BMW 3 Series Facelift (2022) in the future – the current selection may remain. There are currently two plug-in hybrids to choose from: the 320e (204 hp) and the 330e (252 hp + boost to 292 hp). Like a gasoline engine, the current 3-series version runs with a 2.0-liter in-line four-cylinder (156, 184, or 258 hp) or as the M240i xDrive with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder and 374 hp.
Above this is the M3, which, as a competition, has a maximum of 510 hp. For diesel drivers: for the time bmw being, a range of drives (150 to 340 hp) is also available inside with four and six-cylinder units. Just like the motorization of the BMW 3 Series Facelift (2022), the pricing is still in the dark. If you want to buy a pre-facelift model of the G20 sedan, you can get it for a price of 37,750 euros July 2021). For the model update, we expect only minor changes here.
