Chiron is a hypercar manufactured by Bugatti Otmobil in 2016 with a limited number of 500 units worldwide.

The Shillong is named after Racing driver Louis Chiron, who was once riding bugatti.

It was announced on February 29, the day before the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, and the price was US$2.6 million and EUR 2.4 million, twice that of The Veyron. Overview[Edit] Powertrain[edit]

Like the Veyron, the engine is an 8-liter W16 4 turbo engine, but it has a maximum output of 1500 horsepower and a maximum torque of 163.2 kgm. [1] Although almost all components have been improved from the design to reduce weight gain,[1] the engine has only a high power engine and the gears that transmit it.

The four turbochargers operate only two at launch, and the other two are designed to operate when the engine speed reaches 3800 rpm. [1] This makes the torque characteristics from the start and low speed range linear, contributing to operability.

The drive system combines a four-wheel drive system manufactured by Haldex Traction with a dual clutch mission made by Ricardo.

The full-carbon chassis made by Dollarra, which exhibits the same performance as the LMP1 race car of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), has been reduced in weight, but the vehicle weight is 1,995 kg, which is 155 kg heavier than the Veyron.

It was designed by Sacha Seripanov, who was also involved in the design of Huracan.

It follows the traditional Bugatti design, while with a technical design to increase aerodynamic effects and engine thermal efficiency.

In addition to the horseshoe-shaped front grille, the C-line is designed with a centerline from the roof to the rear end and a "C-line" inspired by the Ettore Bugatti sign, based on the type 57 Coupe Atlantic design. The horseshoe-shaped grille is designed to take in large amounts of air to handle the engine's vast heat, and the centerline takes straight stability into account. Performance[edit]

The nominal maximum speed is 420 km / h, but it is said that it is not difficult to actually exceed that speed. [5] Although it is theoretically possible to exceed 480 km / h, it was said that even if a new tire dedicated to Shillong was developed, it could not be realized because there were no tires that could withstand the speed. However, on September 2, 2019, the prototype measured 304.77 mph (490.48 km/h) at the highest speed,[6] and achieved the first hypercar over 300mph.

The fuel economy is said to be 4.7 km/L (3 km/L[7]) in the catalog value. Variation[edit] Shillong Sport[edit]

It was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2018. [10] It is about 18 kg lighter than the standard Shillong, and has been improved in the suspension and drivetrain. In February 2019, the Shillong Sport 110 ans Bugatti, based on Shillong Sports, was announced as a limited edition of only 20 units to commemorate Bugatti's 110th anniversary.

[12] Although it was scheduled to be announced at the Geneva Motor Show,[12] it was canceled due to the covid-19 infection and was unveiled at its headquarters in Molsheim, France, in March 2020. By changing the rear wing from variable to fixed, the hydraulic mechanism etc. are omitted, and it is reduced by about 50 kg. Improvements have been made, such as improving the acceleration performance of the medium speed range by shortening the gear. The maximum speed is reduced to 350 km/h. The limited production of 60 units is priced at EUR 3 million. Shillong Supersport 300+[edit]

A model developed based on the Shillong to record the world's fastest commercial vehicle. It was the first commercial vehicle in history to surpass 300 mph at a record meeting in Ela Lesshen, northern Germany, on August 2, 2019. It adopts a long tail, and a jet orange pinstripe is included in the body of black carbon. In addition, when the door is opened at the time of getting on and off, the letter "Super Sport 300+" is irradiated on the ground by the LED light. Shillong Type 55 BUGATTI Supersport[edit]

Commercial version of Shillong Supersport 300+. It is limited to 30 units, and the price starts at 430 million yen in Japanese yen. The body is almost the same as the Shillong Supersport 300+, but the details such as the wheel have been changed. In the same year, the actual vehicle was exhibited and exhibited at the Milan Motor Show. La Voitture Noir[editing]

A one-off model manufactured to commemorate Bugatti's 110th anniversary. It was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The car name means "black car" in French, inspired by the type 57SC Coupe Atlantic, a famous car made by Bugatti in the 1930s. The mechanism does not change from Syron.
